Their Eyes Were Watching God.

The first time I read the first few pages of this book, it reminded me of Sula. Later I found out the author who wrote “Their Eyes Were Watching God, inspired the author of Sula, Toni Morrison, so no wonder it was alike. Sometimes school stories are boring, but I really liked this one. I like books that can make me feel emotions, anger, happiness, sadness & more. It was a book that kept me wanting to read more. Even though the ending upset me a little, I am pleased. Because Janie finally finds someone even though something happens. Janie is a wonderful character, strong & independent. If this wasn’t a class book, then I wouldn’t look deep into the book & the author intentions, then it wouldn’t be as great. Glad we read it as a class book. Sad we’re done, but… Looking forward to the next book we read.
